Irish City Tours Bus Tour of Dublin
This is a great way to see and learn about the city. You can take tours with live commentaries in English and pre-recroded multi-lingual information too. There are stops at all the main sites like The Guinness Storehouse, Christchurch cathedral, St. Stephen’s Green etc. We suggest taking the tour early in your visit, to orientate yourselves around Dublin. The passes last for 24 hours so you can make the most of them. Definitely worthwhile.

Temple Bar Area
Temple bar claims to be Dublin’s cultural quarter, and there is certainly always plenty going on there. from the countless pulsating clubs and nightclubs, to restaurants, art galleries, shops and even the irish film Centre. We would advise head for the area during the day at weekends and evenings during the week. Weekend evenings can be pretty rowdy as hoards of hen and stag parties collect in the area. During the day though, the cobbles streets are free of cars and it is nice to walk around or sit and watch the world go by. No visit to Dublin is complete without a visit to Temple Bar.

Merrion Square
This famous old sqaure set in the heart of Georgian Dublin is worth seeing at any time, but if you plan your visit for a Sunday you would have the added bonus of seeing one of Dublin’s great traditions. Every sunday artists bring their art work and hang it for display and sale on the cast Iron railings surrounding the square’s park. The work certainly varies in style and quality, so you might not see anything you want to invest in – but the atmosphere and experience is worth it.

Ecocab Free ride around the city
If you see one of these funky little pedal taxi’s coming towards you, hail it down and it will take you around the city free of charge. Yes free. (They make their money from advertising) Its a bit of fun. And don’t forget to tip the driver, he will be pedalling pretty hard.
